My Dandelion

I think we should name it home for the homeless (home being Heaven, get it?? lol)

Anyway, Me, Barney, Aaron, and Matt (Ryan and Cat didn’t come Cat being sick Ryan being at Octoberfest). Anyway, so we went to a park in downtown Lynchburg, (btw LU students if you haven’t been to downtown lynchburg, you NEED to go it’s GORGEOUS just saying). Well we saw 3 ppl at a gazebo so we went to talk to them. They actually had guitars and harmonica’s so Aaron picked up a guitar and started playing and I sang, it was really awesome. We offered them food. They only took water, and 3 hours later, we were the one’s who got preached to ahha. They were talking a lot about the end times and what they believe and who they believe the anti-christ is and such. I didn’t agree with everything but it was cool to have a philosophical discussion with them.

But now we have like 40 sandwiches left over, so I’m gonna call the daily bread (homeless shelter) and see if they would like them.

Overall it was a good day, and a good beginning to what I hope will become a campus wide ministry.

Wrote a new song, was having writers block, finally got it out. lol! Have a tune ish just gotta find time to sing it.

Praying for a Christian is like second nature.

It’s like breathing. It’s not something you think “hm should I pray for this person? or not?” No prayer is not a contemplative issue.

Even most non-Christians I know understand that when a Christian says they are praying for you it’s a nice gesture, it means that they’re thinking about you essentially, they are one in the same. Prayer is a constant thing, it’s a constant communication between a person and God. It’s like talking to your best friend. It’s not something to fight over, and it’s not something to be offended by.

Prayer is everything for a Christian.

3:12-17

¹²Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. ¹³Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. ¹⁴And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  ¹⁵Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. Just think about those verses and say to yourself “Am I truly living my life like this”?

My friend and I are going to start doing a street evangelism where we give sandwiches, bibles, and water bottles to the poor and homeless of Lynchburg (there are a bit of them), but we need your help! We want to not only give these people stuff, but build relationships with them, see them week to week and minister to them. So please if you have extra Bibles mail them, or let me know and I can come get them (LU students).

Ah today in church the message was just incredible at Brentwood. And because of that message a friend and I are actually going to start living out what the word calls us to do. I can’t wait until Saturday!

I have had quite the week… but this week I am learning a lot to thanks to God.

Just remember no matter what season you are in God’s given it to you for a reason, so enjoy it, thank Him for it. Don’t keep wishing you could be in the next season, be happy where you are now!

I read this in devo’s and I thought I’d share it. It just reminds us that we need to think about our actions b.c everything we do is supposed to be reflecting Christ. If we proclaim to be a Christian than we shouldn’t be breaking His law afterwards.

We should always be forgiving, loving, and just accepting of one another and proclaiming the name of Christ in all we do.

Like a lovely girl on my hall said last night: When we lift our hands in worship let it be a true reflection of who we really are. When we leave that sanctuary help us to be the same person we are when we raise our hands, and not the person who leaves our worship in church.

Hey yall here’s an update on my mom for those who are praying.

Her eye’s have gotten worse and her retina in the left eye is shredded but her spirit is up =] pray her eyes will not get worse before December so that the treatment they try in Dec. can be affective!

Hairspray was INCREDIBLE I wish I could be in a musical…

That’s my tumblr title so what is it?

Well atm, I am getting ready for a busy weekend full of dates to red lobster, seeing hairspray, working hockey games (which means eye candy ahaha), tailgating with the bro/sis dorm (my favorite activity this weekend) and then the football game! Sunday is same old church and h.w (i love my church).

Also, Sara is writting guitar to a song I wrote… well more or less a poem I wrote, mad good but a little…. what’s the word? I guess not good for posting (written in a bad part of my life, I was depressed).

Oh I’m also dressing up tomorrow, excited for that.

Hmmm. and yeah, my life is just buzzing, I got 2 exams next week and two quizzes, lots of fun… actually 3 quizzes, 2 of them are classes I have weekly quizzes in, one’s the first quiz AND test (same class) for that class.

Oh and I e-mailed an e-mail apologizing for attitude to the wrong class :P
